Best Day Ever Card

Best Day Ever
For the next four posts, I will be showing a few examples of my attempt to using the heat embossing technique. I have been practicing on different types of paper and the pens and ink chosen does matter! I tried using the watermark pen and it dries quite fast in my case. I bought a Ranger Ink pen and it seems to work better. Of course, I try writing fast before it dries so my cursive does not look stunning, but I tried. Practice and a good little example for those who haven't tried this.

  2. Very pretty card, cute little butterfly and lovely bling.

I hope you do not mind a little tip, something I find very handy when I do heat embossing. Before you use your heat gun, use a small paint brush to get rid of those annoying little spots of embossing powder.

    1. Thank you so much for the advice! I need those helpful tips, I am still very new at all of this! You helped me figure out the "follow by email etc" buttons lol. After I learned that I was able to do more. Yea, unfortunately you can see the little black marks from the excess powder. And, unfortunately I made like two more cards without using your trick. I made them before I read the comments lol. But, from now on I will use a brush. I tried gently tapping the card to remove any excess powder. I probably didn't see I still had some excess powder until I embossed. (I should've had my glasses on!) Thank you again friend! :)

    2. Oh dear, I know that one so well, my colouring is getting worse and all because I never put my glasses on. I am just too lazy to go and find them.

Some people wipe their cards with a tumble drier sheet of an anti static bag before embossing, this is supposed to stop those little dots of powder sticking. I use a paint brush because I always have one to hand when I am working.

I am only to happy to pass on tips I have discover through my own mistakes, just as long as I do not offend you.

      Have a good weekend.

    3. Thank you so much for your advice. I usually don't work on cards so all this is still pretty new to me. But, I like to do new things and make mistakes as well. But, I like it more when someone helps me out! You did not offend me in any way lol :)
